The Opus Tower in Dubai was conceived by the late architect, dame Zaha Hadid, and with respect to her legacy, the contractor sought to find a solution that would preserve the design with no compromise.
Odico was engaged to deliver 2500 unique EPS guidework items for the manufacturing of advanced, aluminum profiles, supporting the large, doubly curved exterior glass facade.
For the project, a complete, project specific workflow automation was developed, enabling the 2500 unique profile CAD-files to be produced without operator assistance. This enabled an increase in production speed from 60 parts per 24 hour to 250 parts per 24 hour, helping the client to meet critical project deliveries.
